We ALL have that one person (in my case, 2 people, my dad and husband) who never give us gift ideas becuase they literally have EVERYTHING. Am I right? Can I get an "AMEN, sister, PREACH!!!!!" Those people are usually the ones who our hearts want to please and gift something really special, but usually, we come up with some lack luster gift that we aren't quite satisfied with.
Well, let's make a change THIS Christmas! Let's do it different, let's do it RIGHT. How about an AMAZING gift from the heart? A portrait gift!!
My awesome labs have given me some amazing sales this weekend and I just HAVE to pass them on to you. Some of these prices are literally lower than I could ever give them in the past (and likely future) because my vendors are being extra generous right now! If you need a gift for Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie, Uncle, Godmomma, Godpoppa, babysitter, YOURSELF (OMG yes, look at the Canvas only prices, you'll be so excited!) or even your own child, you MUST MUST MUST c...
I get so excited when I set a date on my calendar with my super-fabulous stylist, Catie, and it's much less to do with getting my hair cut than it is to do with the overall experience.
When I arrive at the salon, there is always ample parking close to the door. I like this, I'm lazy. When I enter the salon, it's basically like instant tranquility, I know I'm about to get zen to the max. There are always cookies and coffee aplenty waiting for me *if* I have to wait for a minute or two before my appointment. I'm greeted at the desk with a "Hi! Catie will be right with you!" and a sincere smile, EVERY.TIME.I.ARRIVE. It basically makes me fee like a movie star that they both recognize me and greet me so personally, and yet, I know this is how everyone is treated but I still basically feel like Beyonce' rolling up in there.
When she's ready, Catie comes over and leads me to her station, where we talk about what we're going to accomplish in that visit. She faces me and always has great eye...
This has been such an incredible year for LKMP; new clients, new ideas, and an overall shift in direction that has been like a refreshing breeze. As we approach 2016, I have taken in your thoughts, ideas, and needs and have been working on the best way to bring you everything you want going forward.
One change we are making next year is something that I am REALLY excited about, it's going to let me better serve you and your investment, as well as my need to create high quality images that will adorn your walls for years to come. We are doing away with All-Inclusive pricing and packages that include your session fee and digital images, instead, I will be offering a smaller session fee that will cover my time, talent, and the experience that I will provide you. Print and product purchases will be made via an in-person ordering appointment in the studio. This new system will allow me to take all the time needed to provide you with the service that you have come to expect, and then some.
Well, rhinestones and bling are no new thing to me, but I am still so excited every time I have the opportunity to work with a new title holder. What I love about the Miss America Org is that the girls aren't just about a great walk and great smile, they have content. These girls absolutley make the MAO proud and I am so impressed with each of them.
As a contestant in the MAO, you have to have a platform, which is a topic you are passionate about and are working it thoughout your community. When I was a contestant (yes, 150 years ago) in the MAO, my personal platform was Domestic Abuse Prevention, a cause that is still so close to my heart. These girls take these passions and they travel their own areas and beyond to educate and empower others using the crown to help them get in the door to do so. MAO is a positive experience that empowers young women to not only be their best but allows them to help others be their best as well.
If you would like to get involved in your local MAO pr...
We had some absolutely amazing little fairy girls in the studio this month!!! I cannot even wait to do these beautiful mini sessions again next year!!! Thank you mommas for putting your trust in my vision yet again to make something so far away become something real and wonderful!!
I'll tell you what, this might be the most flexible and hard working kid I've ever met. Her work ethic on her sessions is just powerful, it's not a wonder she's making a big name for herself at such a tender age. Quinn, don't forget Miss Catie and I when you're famous, I mean, you are kind of famous, but more famous ;) Love working with you, can't wait to do it again!
Ok, seriously, Lexie was AMAZING!!!! From her awesome wardrobe to her beautiful soul and smile, I could not have had a better time if I had tried!! Thank you Lexie for allowing me the honor to take your most special portraits!!
I cannot even believe that I am wrapping up my 2016 seniors, what a whirlwind it's been with so many awesome kids!! Over the next few months, I am determined to blog about each of them and their fab sessions, but for now, here are a few to get us started!
Meet Nicole. A SUPER talented Senior at SMCC in Monroe, MI. She's a crazy amazing dancer AND an incredible volleyball player. Nicole was an absolutle treat to work with!
